Odile Decq is one of the most important architects of the modern period. She was born in Laval, France, in 1955 and she was educated in Rennes first and subsequently in Paris. In 1980, she founded the studio ODBC with Benoît Cornette and the two of them collaborated on different international projects of great importance for nearly twenty years. After her colleague’s death in a car accident, Odile Decq carries on producing astonishing buildings that do not fail to gain her an enviable fame and several very prestigious international prizes. In the field of design, she designed, amongst other things, the fruit-holder Twist again for the Italian brand Alessi.
