Born in 1937, Antonio Macchi Cassia was an innovative Milanese product designer and is recognized as the man who created the foundations for international design concepts. Macchi Cassia used a very precise method, a mix between invention and concreteness, precise and full of ideas. An harmonious design, capable of creating great design objects. In 1969 the designer created one of the most iconic products for the Stilnovo brand: the Gravita table lamp.
